It's been a long time coming but the day has finally arrived. It's transfer deadline day.
Manchester United have managed to turn their summer around after a bleak start by bringing Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Antony into the club, as well as the impending arrival of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Newcastle.
Though it's not expected to be a hectic final day of the window for United, it is understood that the club have held talks with Barcelona over a possible loan move for right-back Sergino Dest.
Erik ten Hag said on Wednesday that he believes United's business is done, though. "I think so, it will be for this window the end but when there is a great opportunity we always have to be alert at this top club."
There are still question marks over Cristiano Ronaldo's future, James Garner is heading to Everton and there could potentially be some more loan departures before the window closes at 11pm. United also face Leicester City in the Premier League this evening.
TODAY'S BIG TALKING POINT: Should United let Cristiano Ronaldo leave before the deadline? Have your say here.

United may not be done just yet...
Centre-half Will Fish is nearing a season-long loan move to Hibernian, the Manchester Evening News understands.
A deal has not yet been announced, but the deadline for clubs in Scotland is midnight, as it is for most of Europe.
Fish spent six months at loan at then-National league side Stockport County last season, but was recalled due to concerns over play time.
The 19-year-old signed a new long-term contract with United earlier this summer, a deal that sees him stay at Old Trafford until at least 2025, with an option for a year's extension.
He was called into Erik ten Hag's pre-season tour squad this summer when Axel Tuanzebe had to return home, and was sent off in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSES
And that marks the end of the 2022 summer transfer window in England.
Erik ten Hag has brought in six players during his debut window as Manchester United boss.
Tyrell Malacia was first through the door with free agent Christian Eriksen following shortly after. Lisandro Martinez made it three with his £47m arrival before Casemiro agreed to fill the void in defensive midfield with his £60-plus switch from Real Madrid.
And today, Antony officially was unvieled as the club's second-most expensive ever signing in a deal that could rise to £85m prior to Martin Dubravka's loan deal - which contains an option-to-buy clause - from Newcastle being completed.
Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are notable names who have left on loan following the exits of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and co. upon the expiration of their contracts all the way back in June.
Others have since also left permanently - Andreas Perreira to Fulham (in a £8m deal), James Garner to Everton (£15m) and Tahith Chong to Birmingham (£1.5m).
Maybe most significantly, though, Cristiano Ronaldo stays despite his transfer request earlier this summer.
It's been an expectedly busy summer for United - how do you rate the club's transfer window? Let us know in the comments.

DONE DEAL
Tahith Chong has been sold to Birmingham City in a £1.5m deal.
The 22-year-old attacker rejoins the Blues, this time permanently, on a five-year contract. Chong played 20 times for Brimingham while on loan at St Andrews last season, scoring twice and assisting four times.
West Brom had made a late push for the youngster, who was in the final year of his contract, but Birmingham got his signature due to their willingness to facilitate a permanent move with the Baggies only interested in a loan switch.

James Garner is gone.
The Manchester Evening News revealed yesterday that a deal with Everton worth up to £15m had been struck, and now United have announced his permanent departure.
His exit has not gone down well with supporters, who are worried about the club's extended midfield options.
Garner - who helped Nottingham Forest to promotion last season - amassed nine minutes across two Premier League outings for United, having made seven appearances across all competitions overall.

United midfielder Ethan Galbraith has joined Salford City on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old - who joined the academy set-up five years ago - enjoyed a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers last season, playing 36 times, and has two senior caps for Northern Ireland.
He drops down to League Two for the campaign after not being included in Erik ten Hag's pre-season tour squad. His sole first team appearance for United came against Astana in their Europa League clash in November 2019.

Dubravka clause that could scupper United
Manchester United could have been scuppered by a clause that has been added into the deal to sign Martin Dubravka on loan.
United will have an obligation to buy the Slovakian if he makes a certain number of appearances for the Reds in the Premier League.
They have already paid Eddie Howe's side £2m for the loan deal and they will have to pay an extra £6m if they buy him permanently.
However, there is a clause that could leave United in trouble, take a look at what it is here.

Why Ronaldo will not be joining Napoli this deadline day
United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in a rollercoaster transfer window.
At the beginning of pre-season he announced his intentions to leave the club. However, with no bids having been submitted for the 37-year-old, Ronaldo looks to be set to stay at Old Trafford until at least January.
Napoli had been linked in recent days with a move for Ronaldo but one of their directors has explained why the deal was never completed.
Read why here.

What United think of Dubravka
Sources at United have described Dubravka as a 'top class goalkeeper'. That is dubious if Newcastle have happily replaced and got rid of him.
Dubravka has been a good goalie for Newcastle but is prone to dropping in dollies and he thrived under two managers in Rafael Benitez and Steve Bruce, whose styles invited attempts on goal from opponents.
As soon as Newcastle appointed a progressive coach in Eddie Howe, Dubravka was on borrowed time. Newcastle were keen on loaning in Dean Henderson in January and the move only collapsed as, ironically, Dubravka did not want to warm United's bench.
Seven months later, he's happy to do that. Any suggestion he is a long-term replacement for De Gea is laughable and United have arguably signed too high a profile of 'keeper when Tom Heaton, the number two so far this season, is arguably a more dependable goalie than Dubravka.

What can United fans expect from Martin Dubravka?
New signing Dubravka has explained exactly what fans can expect from him in a United shirt
I would describe myself as a vocal person on the pitch. Trying to help the players with my organisation and obviously to be a team player and I like obviously making a save and making a difference. But, to be fair, at this stage I just like to be stable and as I said, when the team needs me, just be there for them.

Will Fish set for Hibernian loan deal

The 19-year-old defender is set to move to Edinburgh on a season long switch.
It is hoped Fish will be able to develop further in the SPL after spending last season on loan at National League side Stockport County.

Blues' boss confirms Chong interest
One of the outgoing deals concering United involves Tahith Chong. With a year to run on his deal, a sale today would make sense and Birmingham want to get a deal done but the clock is ticking.
Speaking to the media earlier, Blues' boss John Eustace said: "I know we have been talking to the lad, until I am told otherwise he is still a Manchester United player. He was excellent with Birmingham last season (on loan) and if he can continue that form from last year that would be a massive plus for us.”

More on the Dubravka deal
The BBC are reporting that United have paid a £2m loan fee for Dubravka and that there is a £6m obligation to buy if he starts a certain number of Premier League games during the loan spell.

Napoli director rubbishes Ronaldo talk
Napoli appear to have ruled out a last-minute move for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Their director Cristiano Giuntoli told DAZN: "We have a very good rapport with his agent Jorge Mendes, but there was never anything concrete between Napoli and Cristiano Ronaldo."
That would appear to mean the Portuguese is staying put at least until January. But with over five hours of the window still to run, do not rule anything out.

Dubravka's first words
I am joining an excellent group of goalkeepers with lots of experience in the Premier League, and I know that we will push and support each other to keep our standards at the highest levels. The chance to work with David De Gea, alongside Tom Heaton, is one that I am relishing.

As the clock ticks closer to 11pm, top flight clubs are racking up the deals slowly but surely.
Everton have re-signed midfielder Idrissa Gueye from PSG whilst newly-promoted Fulham have had a busy afternoon. The Cottagers have also raided PSG, signing Layvin Kurzawa on loan as well as completing the transfer of former Arsenal and Chelsea wideman Willian.
